Climbing trees in the Verdon is an excellent way to exercise and enjoy the scenery. The Gorges du Verdon are a magnificent canyon located in the South of France. There are many different routes, allowing you to find one that suits your level.

Tree-top adventure courses are a type of adventure trail in trees where participants use a system of ropes and pulleys to navigate through the tree canopy. This activity is generally practised for recreational purposes or for team building, and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Who can do tree trekking?
Most people can do treetop adventure courses provided they are reasonably fit and do not suffer from vertigo. It is important to be aware of your own limitations. If you have any doubts, it is always best to err on the side of caution and not do it, or to speak to a member of staff.
Rope-based adventure courses are perfectly suited for children, who can climb between trees on courses specifically designed for their height and age.
The Verdon Gorge offers an exceptional natural setting thanks to the beauty of its landscapes. It’s an ideal place to recharge in the heart of nature! Various tree-top trails in the Verdon
THE TODDLER TRAIL
- 12 workshops for children
- Height between 1m and 1.20m
- 1 hour
- Parents must accompany their children on the course.
THE JUNIOR TRAIL
- 30 workshops for children but also for adults
- From 1 to 2 metres in height in the trees
- Minimum height
- 1 hour 30 minutes
THE ADVENTURE TRAIL
- 50 workshops for children but also for adults
- Up to 12 metres high in the trees
- Two zip lines to fly over the Verdon
- Minimum height of 1.40m
- Duration: Half a day
The Adventure Day
- Rafting or canyoning in the morning, depending on water releases from the dam
- Adventure park afternoon
- Duration: one day
What equipment should we plan for?
The necessary equipment for comfort is proper sports attire with sports shoes (like tennis trainers).
On-site, team members will lend you safety equipment:
- A harness
- Long lines
- Carabiners
- A pulley
Before you begin, an experienced guide will show you the safety instructions and explain the signage for the courses so that you can enjoy your adventure course independently.
The different treetop adventure workshops
The different treetop adventure workshops are designed to help you improve your skills and techniques in various ways. From beginner to expert, there's a workshop for everyone. The workshops are led by experienced instructors who will help you learn the ropes of each workshop and provide you with tips to make the most of your experience.

- Gateways that will set your senses alight
- The hanging cans that will make you lose your balance
A good number of surprises await you on the courses, but don't worry, you can always call on a member of the guide team for help.
When can you do tree-top adventure activities in the Gorges du Verdon?
The leisure centre at’Tree-top adventure in the Gorges du Verdon is open from April to September. As soon as the good weather arrives, you can enjoy this sporting activity with friends or family.
Should this activity in the Verdon be booked in advance?
In April, May, June, and September, booking is essential. Many groups take advantage of this outdoor activity as soon as the good weather arrives. We therefore advise you to book to avoid disappointment if, once you arrive, you are unable to enjoy yourselves.
In July and August, booking is recommended. Visitor numbers are lower as holidaymakers tend to favour water-based activities.
If you have booked and the weather is not in our favour, we will give you a credit.
